If it worked before but just stopped working today, could you try restarting Anki and your browser and see if it works? If that doesn't help, do you recall making any kind of changes at all to your setup?

I was setting up asbplayer but I didnt make any changes to my yomichan or anki except configuring the card templates which I just reset back to normal to no avail
I dont know if asbplayer messes with anything but thats all I did

If you changed your Anki card template, even if you changed it back it might be worth trying to reconfigure it again in Yomichan's settings in case the changes you did before affected it in some way
So even if all the fields have the right names you should set it up again to make absolutely sure that has nothing to do with this issue

Sorry for the confusion, I changed the handlebars through yomichan but then awhile later clicked the "reset changes" button so I shouldve gone back to default (I dont know if the sentence card creation feature was working before I changed the handlebars)
Also even if you have the wrong note type and stuff it still lets you click the little green plus to make a card even if nothing actually happens. In my case the green plus has a grey tint and i cannot click it

Do you remember if you used a customized handlebars? If you clicked reset then it will reset to the default Yomichan one, so if your setup depends on a specific custom handlebars then that could explain it

In that case one easy way to narrow things down is to reset the entire Anki Yomichan configuration and redo it if you didn't try that already
