So I was about 200 cards into core and find that half the words when used in sentences are almost completely mute or different when conjugated and that sucks bad when you're a person who doesn't watch subbed content or read stage 1. Basically I was wondering if I should just keep going because the vocab is common or is the whole deck like that because if it is I'll just switch to tango N5-N4.

I'm not sure what you mean by "mute."

#

There are a couple of phenomena that could be. Devoicing or some particles actually are less common in writing.

#

As an experienced person, I can say that it doesn't matter very much where your first 1-2k words come from. At that frequency level, nearly every word you learn will be ubiquitous.

Yeah that's why I deleted the message, tango sentences adds context so it'll make the beginning easier although would you say the tango N3 is worth doing if you have alot of time?

I think sentence context does make things a lot easier, but I don't think I'd recommend Tango N3

#

Because by the time you get through N5 and N4 you're probably ready to start sentence mining.

Yeah I only asked because I'm going at like 50 cards a day to just finish the decks but if it's really that useless then I'll just hop right into mining

If you can mine then 10-15 new per day from mining is going to be better for you than 50 from a pre-made deck.
