removing the disk from the laptop could be the path of elast resistance

to fix the screen on the laptop i tried:
-powering on without battery
-reseating ram
-draining power
-reseating cmos battery

if you can make a bootable usb to use for utility

one of these would be relaible and useful in live system try me mode

can i just boot off of a secondary drive partition?

that could be a next step to attempt if your unable to access your disk from another windows pc

#

without a functional laptop display options to use that laptop are not really useful

#

you could try using the external hdmi port

#

who knows if that would work
