@lost valve
are you using send to?
because your mask path is invalid
how do i make it valid
does D:/smoothie-rs-bin-windows/valmask.png exist on your pc? if not then remove it
if it doesnt exist on my pc how am i supposed to remove it
remove it from the config
the mask: thing?
yes
ok
also do you know what kind of settings this is
like fast blur when you turn
@jovial grove
im not sure what you mean by fast blur
in the clip when he turned it was like sharp ig??
wait
it looks faster and cleaner imo is it bc of high sense?
when i render my clip its more to the smoother side and like slow and smooth
@jovial grove if you dont understand what i mean can tou try telling me the settings for that blur?
turn the output timescale up a little bit then
it still doesnt work
and also its not timescale when i like turn its less sharp but on the other clip when you turn or look around its sharp and looks good
like something like this
diff weighting maybe? idrk what you mean
btw how do i make my mask path valid?
right click on the mask, click copy as path and paste it in config
and remove any quotes
wdym right click on the mask wheres the mask
... you make it?
ohh alr
still doesnt work
[artifact masking]

smoothie-rs masking w/ paint.net & Video Tutorial
If you prefer learning through a video, you can follow this tutorial
- Download and install Paint.net from https://getpaint.net/.
- Ensure that your video resolution matches your clip's resolution.
- Capture a screenshot of your game with it's interface / HUD (aka static parts).
- Open the captured screenshot in Paint.net.
- When selecting the shapes tool in Paint.net, remember to disable anti-aliasing.
- Create a new layer, and then select it.
- Begin creating black shapes around your GUI and the areas you want to mask.
- Fill the shapes using the Fill Bucket tool.
- Color the transparent or checkered regions in white.
- Delete (or hide) the layer containing the game HUD image.
- Save the image as a PNG file.
- Use this PNG file in smoothie-rs by pasting the folder path in folder path and typing file name (with extension)
