How does turning on "Offline" mode in "Friends & Chats" affect performance in games?

idk what that is, but i highly doubt turning on offline mode on a social app does anything for performance

offline mode in what?

that means you appear offline to any user's that view your steam profile

if its in the friends context

if you use Steam Offline mode, thats just disabling any features within Steam that require the internet, doesn't provide any performance benefit.
