i use premiere pro to export and im wondering if i should export my 128mpbs footage as 120mpbs or 100mpbs
obviously 100mpbs wouldn't take as long as 120mpbs, but with a loss of quality
i want to know how big the quality loss is

could somoene upload 2 vids comparing? or send me a vid
ty

#

also post on yt: i will be using 4k

#

or just a quick video explaining it

But VBR/CBR aren’t good rate control methods

#

Use voukoder from #🎥|vid-editor-settings

#

It’s a lot faster and more efficient

then i unintalled it

#

and now it doesnt work anymore

#
  • i dont like going in a hassle when recording vids
#

voudoker is just another extra step i have to do

It’s excessive but it definitely works

my clips are 128mpbs, and i record at 18 cqp

like whats the point if the source clip is 128

because the source bitrate is irrelevant

coral gazelle
#

isn't that like saying

#

exporting 360p footage as 1080p, and the quality will magically be better

#

each color will only be 4 pixels more

no

#

reencoding alone cant make your video look better than the source

#

its always gonna be slightly worse or the exact same

#

128mbit -> 128mbit will look worse than 128mbit -> 240mbit

#

but not by a noticeable amount

#

no reasonable resolution requires a bitrate that high to look good or indistinguishable from source
