went through everything in faq. all the settings were exactly the same, besides the preset being "max peformance" - mine only shows quality (probably because of amd gpu) when i set the fps value to common, it locks it at 60 and my clips are somewhat smooth. when i set it to fractional and put the numerator at 120, my clips start to lag. all the audio is perfectly fine in 120, but the video itself lags.
#clip laggy in 120fps, perfect in 60fps?

In order for you to make sure OBS does not lag while it's recording, you should make the Stats Dock shown, just like this:
It is prefered to have a second monitor so you are able to see how it's doing without having to alt tab (by having OBS on your second monitor)
It is normal to get a few dozens of skipped frames when alt tabbing
How to enable stats dock:

You’re experiencing something called “encoding lag” which happens when the encoder can’t keep up.
AMD GPUs aren’t very good at recording high fps
i thought that was with 240+ fps? shouldn't 120 be fine?
This will tell you have much encoding lag you have
You can test different settings and figure out which are best for you with it
for reference, i have a r5600, 6650xt, 32gb ram 1tb ssd
amd sucks for recording its very sad
you should look into recording with x264
