Windows' default "Movies & TV" player cannot play HEVC/H.265 video playback by default and struggles with high FPS videos,
You can play HEVC using any of these video players:
â ‚VLC, get it at https://www.videolan.org/
â ‚#934458649865248768 an extensible, keyboard driven video player
In order for you to make sure OBS does not lag while it's recording, you should make the Stats Dock shown, just like this:
It is prefered to have a second monitor so you are able to see how it's doing without having to alt tab (by having OBS on your second monitor)
It is normal to get a few dozens of skipped frames when alt tabbing
