10-bit recording with obs on arch linux

i want to record using 10-bit colors but i cannot using x264 and using va-api gives worse encoding performance
is there a workaround using custom x264 options to record in 10 bit?
or is there a way to use a software or va-api hevc encoder with obs?

i am running arch linux with an amd rx 570 and would rather not mess with drivers to use amf if possible

if none of these options are possible or available easily i am okay with continuing to record with 8-bit colors

also: is it a good tradeoff to record 10-bit to remove banding but not be able to record in 240 fps?

i tested using va-api h264 to record in 120 fps with these settings and it resulted in 90%+ encoding lag, it records 60fps without any lag

to the x264 options

it just didnt let me record with x264 and having the color format as a 10-bit option
