How do I fix my city layout?

Hello everyone! I've been building the same city for ~6 months now, but I can't figure out how to develop all areas in a similar style. I've achieved a style I'm satisfied with on the mainland, but the 2 satellite cities I'm building all look too empty and organized in a way that doesn't fit the city's style. I'm basically looking for ideas on how to redesign the two satellite islands (I am open to completely bulldozing and rebuilding them)
