#Mod Idea: Surfaces Feathering and Curves

If there are any modders out there looking for a challenge, I think these would be great additions to the surfaces tool:

Feather the edges:
If this is possible, it could be a game changer for layering surfaces to create more natural looking environments. Beaches, agriculture, parks, industrial, etc.. a lot of applications for it.

Curved borders
Similar to the road and line tools, if we could select a node on the border of the surface and convert it to a curve. I find making curved surfaces super tedious because of all the nodes you have to place and even then I find myself putting decals, props, or vegetation over them because it doesn't seem natural. If we can add feathering I think this becomes a little less of an issue, but would still have applications.

Thanks and good luck if anyone takes a stab at this! ♥️

That's a component of the JSON file per surface... for curved surfaces, try using a netlane of choice to create the curve and then use the bucket fill from the area-fill mod to have it do the heavy lifting? But yeah, boundary areas between surface is what a lot of netlane decals hav been designed for (or just straight up decals). Sully's beaches were the first ones out to have "blending" decals to soften out the edges.
