https://www.atlist.com/

also this is kinda very useful for me but, it could get you several place coordinates just by clicking and marking, and you got the .csv. Very useful, could be embeded in any website.

Create a custom map with Atlist's easy-to-use map maker tool. Plot as many markers as you want on beautiful, powerful maps. No code required.

I think the one thing the United States does right is creating and maintaining data for public use. You can find all sorts of geographic data on census.gov

TIGER Shapefiles are available and allow you to use different polygon and line features in your spatial representation.

There's also tons of demographic information on the site as well. So if you want to represent your city's average income or education level, you have the choice of different aggregates like block groups or zip codes.

Data.gov US geographic Data

https://catalog.data.gov/dataset/

Another link to add. This site is managed by the US General Services Administration's Technology Transformation Service. Lots of geographic data from various file formats to explore and use for free. The material and site are open source. So feel free to expand your minds and spreadsheets.

I'll try to keep this thread alive with new sites or sources. Especially those that are open to the public. @oak grotto thank you for the many sources you provided originally.

Sentinel Hub's EO Browser: Satellite Imagery Database

Sentinel Hub has a lot of imagery data that you can explore. Go to http://www.sentinel-hub.com/explore/eobrowser/ and click the green button that says explore. You'll be able to find data from different satellites and change the date so you can get the most recent imagery. (hopefully with any cloud coverage!)

EO Browser makes it possible to browse and compare full resolution images from all the data collections we provide with Sentinel Hub.
