#Is there a way to edit the vanilla maps

I like some of the vanilla maps, but there's some things in some of them that I'd like to fix (like weird terrain dips, or cleaner highway entry points). Is it possible to open one in the map editor?

I am on pc, yeah.

thanks for the link, I'll check it out.

By the way, the reason I couldn't edit the map: I forgot to enable it in my content manager. So, yeah, all of them should be editable, I think. Though, you might require mods for some. E.g., Desert Valley has one bridge post that won't disappear with the vanilla bulldozer, even though the road can be deleted.

I think the link is a little outdated and I'm having a hard time finding the file names for any of the DLC not listed here.

I appreciate the instructions.

The maps aren't always named as expected, unfortunately. Kind of just have to experiment with them.

Any particular ones you're looking for?

Actually, I may create a reference table tomorrow. I haven't needed one, yet, but it seems like it'd be a good idea...

I really like the table mountains from the MP2, so I think it's the ccmp2 temperate. I'm kind of doing trial and error rn to find it.

I feel like this (this being my attempt to edit base maps into something a little bit less challenging) would go way better if I had prop line tool and the mod to make tree brushes.

It might be one of the Euro maps, based on what I see on skylines.country.

I haven't tried using either of those mods within the map editor, so I don't know how well they'd work. Nonetheless, I wish you luck!

There's a cosmetic mod that I like too, I'm not sure which is it - maybe ultimate eye candy? - that has filters that really brighten up my game. It doesn't work in the map editor options.

This is literally as bright as it gets 😦
