It bugs me a little that you used a cobblestone bridge crossing the river- this bridge would not likely be that old, and I doubt the decision would be made based on the aesthetics of the bridge- due to the amount of traffic using it, I think maybe a truss bridge would be much better suited for this area... thoughts?

I agree, rhe stone Bridge is not that appropriate in this location. Ideal it would be a suspension or cable-stayed but we don't have those for the smaller width roads.
