All empires, both big and small, both young and ancient, crumble and die to the ravages of time eventually.

Take it from me, a Trickster god that has researched about Stellaris, Warhammer, Adventure Time, and Elder Scrolls lore.

The Builders were an ancient and powerful race yes.
They built mighty structures that stood the tests of time to modern day Minecraft.

Sure, their Temples are buried under sand or foliage, Their Monuments have sunken into the sea, Their underground cities are infested with an alien presence, and their Strongholds are ruined.

But that's a given for a now extinct race.

Endermen, they could be degenerated Builders, Golems built by them, or a whole entirely different race.

Builders might not be good, They're probably morally gray. They probably enslaved the Piglins.

Maybe it was a Virus, maybe it was the Wither (at full power), maybe it was just their own decadence and squabbling that led to their extinction.

Either way, a lesson to be learned from the Builders is that you can never live forever.
You can never have it all. You will eventually fall. It doesn't matter if Death itself manifests to destroy your entire Civilization and species or if your civilization caused it's own doom.

Nothing lasts forever but the blocks you place down, ready to be broken and picked up once again, by beings that were born in time to see your failures and accomplishments.

Don't be like the Ancient Builders.

Don't build for power, glory, or fame.

Build to be remembered and for the fun of it.

What's the difference between "building for fame," and "building to be remembered?"
