Let’s start from this, The Nameless Kingdom or the Desert Kingdom I will refer as, still is in infancy and had not practiced necromancy yet which made them undead. Which still makes them a human civilization
. Meanwhile, the ancient villager (and Illager?) tribes currently live in the present day stronghold island using my fox theory. But, when looking deeper in other areas of the mainland than the stronghold or desert kingdom, I could find absolutely nothing. Item and Armor description simply couldn’t give me much so does in-game terrain and structures. My only last resort was to research about how tribal societies form in which regions and basically just taking some stuff that happened in the real world. I just presumed they were all human tribes. I also considered once the ancient city civilization but I don’t know what to make out of it. Share your thoughts below.

Using my fox theory in which the ancient villager tribe it mentions came from stronghold originally. I really just presumed they than migrated towards the mainland from the island towards pumpkin pastures, soggy swamps, squid coast and possibly creeper woods
The reason which I chose those places as migration is that majority of the population in that region is apart of the villager or illager familly
The question is: before the migration of the villagers, what population or people lived in pumpkin pastures, soggy swamp, squid coast, etc before the villagers? @thorny turtle
