Hi, I wanted to know if its possible to get metadata directly from youtube music and skip spotify altogether

(latest spotdl version from pip)

(example where it's useful: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=DMd-0eDuJ8I | spot-dl queries Spotify and gets the wrong title name.)

(another example: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=_udW_SE7MVQ this time it gets a totally wrong music metadata, not just the title)

Pulling metadata from yt is not possible. It's probably a matching error. I believe you can pass the spotify song url and yt url and it will download the audio from yt with the metadata from the song

You can specify specific YouTube videos to download with Spotify metadata, or vice versa.
To do this, use the notation spotdl download "YouTubeURL|SpotifyURL"
Note that the quote marks (") are essential.
