I just recently started getting this error, I tried running it in a vm and it worked fine in that. As you can see, I even reinstalled, but that didn't fix it.

Oh, I also have been running the old version of spotify from https://www.spotify.com/us/download/other/, but recently updated to the new client, not sure if that would affect anything.
