You know I saw somebody else with this over in #spotdl-general and I noticed the same problem, it asks for a query but... For what??? lmaooo
Spotdl is goofy. See if you can install ffmpeg separately
update your spotDL

Python/(site packages) is not added to PATH correctly.
You need to install Python from https://www.python.org/downloads/
Ensure to add to PATH when installing:

reinstall as per above instructions
got some time to fix my issues, but im still not sure what im doing wrong. spotdl is installed and up to date, python is fixed, ffmpeg is installed properly
pip install spotdl
install ffmpeg via their site
ive never used spotdl but im pretty sure its not spotdl [link]
try spotdl download link
ive never used spotdl so you gotta do youre own research

How did you reinstall ffmpeg ? Did you just use "spotdl --download-ffmpeg"?
I'm having the same issue you had. 0kbps in properties and some players (like the native one of Windows) can not play the .m4a files.
I tried to reinstall with "--download-ffmpeg", also tried some different versions of ffmpeg but, the issue persists. :/
