Hey guys, I'm using spotdl with a cookies file (and yt music premium membership) and the --bitrate disable flag, as per https://github.com/spotDL/spotify-downloader/blob/master/docs/usage.md#youtube-music-premium, so the files should, at least if the documentation is correct, download the files in m4a format, however i'm still only getting 128k mp3s.. am I doing something wrong?

here is my full command:
spotdl --audio youtube-music --cookie-file cookies.txt --ytm-data --bitrate disable https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5YhYRdiGVmcYuBkaqhrZ0g?si=001adfc0fc50448f

Running SpotDL v4.2.1 on Ubuntu 22.04

mp3 info showing only 128k bitrate:

🤦 Adding --format m4a did the trick, should really add that to the docs..

Check you files under a program called Spek, this will actually analyze the file to make sure that it actually in a specified kbps. If it is 20 kHz, then you are getting higher kbps usually in the 256. Make sure the file is in mp3 format first, so convert it after spotdl gives you the m4a or opus format. I used the m4a format and no matter what I did, it is only reaching 15 kHz, which is 128ish kbps. Again you can completely disregard what Windows is telling you the kbps since it is only reading the metadata of the file. (analagous to me taking a 720p file and exporting it as a 4k file. Windows will tell me it is 4K but in reality, it is only in 720p)
