Managing State

Hey folks. I'm creating a discord clone. In which I'm managing the state by checking current path and if the page is dynamic, I'm checking its params.id, Can you guys suggest me if this is a nice way to do this or should I use the Form method to setting the apiUrl into route.

i wonder why you need to check the path tho, i thought the route should be statically defined
