While reading keep the hangeul letters in front of your eyes. Whenever you read a word and get stuck, look at it, and double check it on any translation app, bcuz there are certain rules in pronouncing some words

It is a good idea to not reply on the romanisation of the letters and syllables as they arent accurate and can limit your ability to move into fluency. Try to learn it as an extension of the alphabet you know (similarly to when you are learning new words in Korean and you think of it as jsut another word instead of it meaning the word in your language and then relating that.) Try to use youtube videos from native speakers to fully understand it because the pronunciation is insanely different to English. (Sorry if this is a bad explanation)

the 국 syllable?

if youre referring to that its ㄱ + ㅜ + ㄱ if youre typing it out, may look like 그 at first glance

warm stream
#

And pronunciation is
hangugeo?

#

@oak hazel

oak hazel
#

yes pretty much, although i wouldn't rely on romanisation, i recommend typing it into papago for example and listening to the audio

warm stream
#

papago??

oak hazel
#

yes its a translation website/app thats better or more reliable than google translate

#

its not always natural but its definitely better than google translate and gives you words you can find in the naver dictionary

#

just by inserting a sentence

warm stream
#

Ohh, I downloaded it.
I'll try to use it, thanks

#

But

#

how to practice pronunciation without romanisation and also katakana

#

?

oak hazel
#

you can watch youtube videos or lessons where they repeat sentences and you can pause and shadow them/ repeat them

#

maybe record yourself and see the differences between your pronunciation and the person whose sentence you're repeating

#

in general i recommend talking as much as possible
