I know there are many different ways to say sorry. But in Chinese for us- there are different ways to say it too but they all have a different level of sincerity and stuff like that. Is it like that for Korean too? If so, what are the most common way to say sorry and in what situations should you use them?

미안해 casual
미안해요 respectful but still pretty informal
죄송합니다 formal
죄송해요 less formal than previous but still kind of formal

These are the main most common ways

also correct me if im wrong but i heard that 미안해요 can be used for smth that you didn’t do but you’re still expressing sympathy, whereas 죄송해요 is for like mistakes you actually made
