Why is it that some verbs end with “데” like in “먹어도 되는데”
I’m having trouble understanding stuff because of this 😭

-는데 is a sentence connector that has to do with someone thing that is contrary to the first statement
오늘 밖에 나갔는데 비가 왔어요.
I went outside today but it was raining
It is not opposite, that would be -지만 it’s more just loosely contrary
However if it’s at the end of a sentence it just implies that the thought is not finished, and there is going to be another sentence to come
