You should specify what kind of editing you are interested in: copy editing/proofreading, line editing, development editing.
If you are looking for copy editing/proofreading, you should also specify what language: British English, Australian English, American English, etc.
Also, have you read any books on editing? I bet any editor will first ask you this question.

P.S. 16-year-olds don't have pay checks, so that you know.
