#Measurements of Digimon Vpets and Digivices Needed!!

Figured I'd make a formal post asking for assistance gathering measurements from each digital pet/digivice release. I have a hardware doc that I put together with the help of individuals who were willing to take apart their tamagotchi for me and I need the same for those in the Digimon community since I do not collect these devices! I added a tab to the doc exclusively for Digimon toys and referenced wikimon for each release, but if I'm missing something or something I added is incorrect please let me know. My spreadsheet can be viewed here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1E3SbHKJXI4MtC6T1eo1tp9XTXYFZjB1EUim-dIcLW-A/edit?usp=sharing

Any devices whose column is left blank are devices I need measurements of. What I need for each device is their housing/battery door/board screws, capacitors, eeprom chips, and possibly other parts if they're something special like a pedometer. What I need from those willing to help me out is a caliper and an iron will that is not afraid to disassemble their device (and possibly a soldering iron if a wire snaps). I will walk you through how to take measurements, but most importantly for screws please reference the images posted below on how to gather the most accurate measurement. Thank you to anyone who can help!

Calipers will be used to gather the diameter of screws like so

#

and I will need their lengths in milimeters (not including the head) like so

#

an up close clear photo of the length of the screw will also help me calculate the pitch

Oh wow! I didn't know this project was here
I don't know how much I can actually contribute over time,
But the fact that somebody's working on this is phenomenal.

oh this is great. i’d love to contribute. i’ll have to pick up calipers

Gang I don't think OP is in the server anymore numebruh

That's fine as long as the Google doc link Is still here

frosty orbit
#

it is view only, but we can at least email their gmail account with contributions

Omg. Hi guys.

I just want to say its so nice to be included 🥺

But the screw size for the back of Pink v1 Digivice is
2.5mm x 1.7mm x 6.0mm
As discovered by an Eyeglass Repair Kit variety pack from amazon 👈😎👈

my rough estimation of the thread size is M1.4-.57

but i don't think the doc owner is in here anymore, we'd probably need to email them

After we get a few contributions I will go and find them.

DMOG JP Battery door screw.
Button Head
Length: 4.6
Diameter: 2.03
Pitch: 0.66 approx
(Remeasured, 4.6/5=0.92)

#

PenOG
Panhead
Length: 4.84
Diameter: 1.73
Pitch: 0.5

For pitch it's probably more accurate to measure across as many as possible and divide it

PendulumProgress Battery Screw (was weirdly hard to measure)
Length 5.5 (up to perhaps 5.75?)
Width: 1.91
Pitch: 5mm/14=approx 0.35

(Update, I have confirmed that an M2, (actual pitch 0.4) fits very comfortably)

Problem is for things like the PenOG screw, where it's super duper short, and includes the head in my length measurement. Makes a bit of a mess

#

DMOG JP body Screw
Button Head
Length: 9.81
Width: 2
Pitch: 5/7= 0.714

#

PenOG Body Screw
Button Head
Length: 4.75
Diameter: 1.68
Pitch 4.75/8 = 0.59

#

Pendulum Progress Body Screw
Length 4.75
Width 1.68
Pitch 4.75/8 =0.59
Appears to be the same as the PenOG body

#

That's all I got in me for tonight

Noting there's 2 types of DMOG battery cover screw, the one that's like the body screws, and a finer one which goes along with the shell having metal nuts embedded

primal sandal
#

interesting,, on English vs Jp models? or someting else?

void creek
#

Some of the English ones have nuts

primal sandal
#

👍 I don't have any English to compare,
But I will go up and demark the one I measured as JP

PenX body screw,
Length 4.6mm
Diameter 1.68mm
Threads 8
Pitch 4.6/8=0.575

Google says that adds up to an M1.6

#

PenX battery door
Length 3.5. Diameter 2.89.
Peaks 6
Pitch=3.5/6= 0.58

M3 fits this very comfortably.

Likely an M1.6
In 4mm or 5mm length

I see. Thank you for the reply.👍

I can verify later

#

D-cyber lower shell screw.
Length, 7.75 mm
Width 2.55 mm
threads 8

#

For the record, I don't think it's a standard metric screw, the threading is much wider
