If you're not booting up to E00 again, then run 99F to clear out the firmware

Get a hold of a computer running Windows 10 (preferably) and a microSD card reader (or someone with both of those already).

99f is used to erase the firmware making room for the modded firmware. If you read the readme, running the 99f and getting E02 is what's supposed to happen. "If you see the "waiting" screen then the "failed" screen with E02, this step was run successfully." Outside of bad sd cards it shouldn't take anyone 2+ days to run the 5 steps form the readme.

Usage

if you have the official 2.0a then yes you have to run 99f to remove it. You can't install the same firmware over itself even if its modded. All firmware updates need to be "ran" by powering the device on with the sd card inserted and the firmware file on the root of the sd.

That's how it was done on the original VB, and they kept it the same way on the BE. Chalk this up to bad design either way: people not realizing they could do that on the original so Bandai added a new pointless menu, and people trying to use said pointless menu thinking it's the preferred way

Did you make sure to extract everything? Also I don't remember whether I put a pause command in there. I probably did, but if it's not working right, you can open a command prompt and run the script there. If you click on bspatch.exe, then that's expected because you're running the wrong thing. If you haven't looked at the readme, make sure you do so.

hello. can anybody help me? I insert the SD card with the update and I get the DIMx icon indicating to remove it. The card is 2GB, it has no more files and it is at fat 32.

In the photo the charging cable is disconnected but I do it with the charging cable connected and inserting the SD card before turning on the device.

hello, i installed the mod succesfully on my myheroacademy BE VB, but it shows only 4 instead of 9 backgrounds, I installed the mod 2 times (bricking my VB betwen following the readme) and had the same issue, i only have agumon and gabumon dim cards

Sort of not really. While a lot of the code is still there, not all of it is, and there's logic that has to be rewritten to support the extra slots on BE and maintain backwards compatibility with VB

That is, more likely to win when you have more VP and good mood

These instructions only apply to Mod Rollup Release 4.

For step 2, do the following:

1. Open up a Terminal
2. cd to the directory where your files are
3. Run the following:

   bspatch VBBE_20A.vb2 VBBE_20A.vb2 patch4_20a.bsdiff
   

4. Verify that the patching worked properly by getting the SHA256 hash of the patched file:

   shasum -a 256 VBBE_20A.vb2
   

5. You should see this as the result:

One thing to note about jogress is the BE does try to automatically assign a support by default, so make sure after switching to a Dim mon that you confirm whether you have the correct support for your desired evolution, and change/remove support as necessary.

Attribute jogress occurs for certain mons when the mon in support is the same stage and different attribute

Mind you, it can't prevent different franchises from jogressing because there's nothing in the data that indicates franchise for Dims

When switching to the mon, just double check that your support is set for the outcome you want

Hey Cyanic, first of all thank you again for all the work on the digi stuff, you last update to the old dim battle logic on the BE made me pick up the vb again, a couple of features that you might want to introduce if you have time to do so besides the cross dim adventure mode. Cross dim (and bem?) background, would be cool to be able to use dim with the background of other stored dims/bems and also cross dim/bem nfc battles for more variety, iirc correctly you said some time ago that there was some problems with how stuff was stored, but thought it could be cool if you solved that for the cross dim adventure mode.
