#Error 24 -VBE question

You can use DiMs, this is well, an error;somebody else knows more
I think that's a validation error of some sort. I haven't gone through that part of the logic, so maybe more info tomorrow when I get to it
I believe somebody else was getting E24 when trying to modify BE Memories unsuccessfully... so my first question is have you modified the card at all?
I have not modified this card at all. I haven’t used it at all really. Not even Inserted it into my old Vital Bracelet. It’s brand new
I just tried to put my DIM into my VBV and it also failed. Not sure what happened.
I tried my Renamon EX card and that worked fine. There could possibly just be something wrong with my Guilimon EX card then and not my VBE.
Here it is with the Renamon EX card working fine
Sounds like an error writing that DIM image from the factory then... I suggest resetting, but since the BE doesn't care about locks that isn't likely to do anything
However the usual failure mode of bad factory flashing is the locks area getting written with junk and that breaking the checksum
oh in that case... resetting might help... I didn't realize that the normal failure mode from the factory broke the checksum... I thought it was just valid locks so the DIM couldn't be used with any other devices.

E24 is a standard checksum error, so chances are you need to reset the Dim to clear out any bad manufacturing test data
Do we have a guide for resetting dims on the BE or is it the same as the originals? I'm getting the E24 on my Gabumon dim. I also haven't updated the BE if that makes a difference.
You can only access reset on a BE with a factory BEM
So a special BEM meant specifically to get into the reset settings? Are those easy to come by?
Strictly speaking, no, they are only used in the factory, but technically if you know how they're made, you could make one
I'm only somewhat technically capable 😅 best guess is that my dim is likely dead unless I buy an older bracelet then? And it would more than likely be cheaper to just get a new dim if that is the case. Either way, thank you very much for your help! This is an awesome community 😁
24!!!!!
I feel like this happens with the Guilmon DIM a lot, mine was the same (but have got an old VB laying around so was able to reset it). the first release of the Japanese VB goes so cheaply now it's almost worth to have one around just for situations like that
There's a few Dims that this routinely happened on. 4-5, I think, not that I remember which
I do think I had to do it on at least 1 other of mine, can't remember which one either though
Yea I got the same issue for my agumon dim one day it just suddenly stopped working😭
Also happened to my Guilmon DIM, I think I need to reset it but doesn’t have any old VB. Perhaps there’s another way to reset a dim.
