Only in benchmarks, +350 is stable in cyberpunk, +400 is crash, with +3000mhz on memory as well
Ray tracing Ultra, DLSS quality and frame gen x4. Gpu undervolt at 875mv at + 411mhz and locked it with ctrl L, from 115 watts to 88 watts
And on cheap laptop cooler with fans 100%
Yeah sure
Legion 5i is out of the box a hot potatoe, you really have to undervolt both your gpu and cpu
Yeah true, it looks like all 5000 series are voltage optimized. Because a 5060ti 8 gb desktop needs higher wattage vs 5070 laptop to get to the same fps, 5070 laptop is more efficient than 5060ti desktop 8 gb
True, but the VRM system on legion 5i is suited for crossload of 180-190, I had to lower the cpu clock to 4.5 for all p cores to get 4.5ghz for all 8 p cores and 16 threads in games, otherwise the gpu clock was going from 5.7 to 3.9 and back to 4.3 and so on xd
Looks like Legion ones are tuned well from factory as well
6400mhz kingston fury sodimm with tigher timings, like cl 38
Heard about it, Ultra 9 275hx has higher memory latency/cache latency vs i9 14900hx, because of tile design vs monolithic
Yeah with i9 14900hx latency would be 60ns or so in Aida cache benchmark
Yeah thats the 200S boost thingy
Its the interconnect of each tile, thats a bottlenevk as well for cache latency and ram latency
i9 14900hx is better for cpu bound games if you undervolt it tho, and some old games like mafia 3/gta/total war like low latency and ultra variants on 5i arent available yet here.
And with Ryzen 9 9955hx3d and Ryzen 9 9955hx, you want to disable the worst ccd in games like bf 6/bf 2042 to get the most out of the 3D cache.
