Charged my computer fully during the night, but when i opened it at uni, it was dead. connected my charger, but battery stays at 0%.

What have you tried already?:
in device manager: disable and reenable battery Microsoft AC adapter, restarted computer, tried to update the driver through device manager.

When did it start producing the issue:
Just this morning.

Did you install new drivers or software?:
No, however, windows update says to reinstall current version of windows to repair files, but it can't complete the update - error every time.

The static discharge initially didn't do anything. Contacted Lenovo Support, who also recommended the static discharge. After I send them a battery report, they said I probably have a defect battery, and created a repair ticket for me.
The annoying thing happened the day after, where the battery suddenly worked again. So now I'm on the fence about sending it in, since I don't know if they can actually do anything about it now that it works normally again.
I say normally - it still sits at 100% for about 40mins when I disconnect the charger, and it has degraded by 23% after only 140 charges... Do you recommend sending it in for repair?
