Model: Legion Slim 16AHP9

Ever since I got the laptop basically every major recent game that I've tried out on it is near unplayable, they all have stuttering issues where the game micro stutters every couple of seconds, and slow downs, some games being near unplayable as well, I've tried Atomic Heart (which did not stutter on my older more lower spec pc), Black Myth Wukong, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster ( A remaster of a 2006 game) every vr game that I've tried and now Silent Hill 2 Remake and this is regardless of settings, they can be maxed out at 1600p or be at the lowest settings possible with dlss at ultra performance and the exact same stutters will still happen, every game that I've bought since I got this laptop is near unplayable, frame generation also doesn't work likely for the same reason as every game I try it on flashes, flickers, lags and stutters even more making them completely unplayable, nothing like what you see online, I feel scammed as it's the reason that I got a laptop with an rtx 4000 series gpu

I've tried updating the drivers in the device manager, but everything supposedly has the best up to date drivers, I've also updated via lenovo vantage and gforce experience, I've also tried performance mode and overclocking the gpu via lenovo vantage to see if I get any luck, but it's the exact same issues.

I'd like to have screenshots or video to share but I can't find a way to show a graph and the snipping tool isn't working.

I've wanted to contact support but Lenovo Vantage only gives me US phone numbers ( I live in Mexico, across the border) and the whole app just decides to stop working and online it just straight up says that support doesn't support my laptop, this is a first time that a customer support just doesn't support me.

( I'm very frustrated)

#

I feel that this can't be a coincidence

If that won't help, download hwinfo, start it's sensors and play for ~30 minutes and send us screenshots of what's hwinfo showing you

ohh what does EC stand for?

tame sable
#

shoot I think it actually improved

#

it's stuttering like 3 times less and the stutters are way smaller

#

or I may be exagerating, but it is slightly better

ohh I see, I think it definitely helped, I did the soft method since I'm not good with the physical hardware stuff and I don't want to do something that voids the warranty

#

but yeah, there is still some stuttering

tame sable
#

Alright I'll try that next

#

should I do everything in the channel?

Yes

#

ohh I have like extremely vague memories of DDU

tame sable
#

did this stuff but went to bed because I was too tired

#

I'm giving it a quick test and that may have actually fixed it

#

but I don't have time to go in dept right now

#

I'll give an update later tonight

#

I swear dlss looks sharper

#

no wait nevermind, the game's just running at 1600p

#

but wow, it's running very stable at that resolution

#

this may have actually solved my problems

#

I think frame generation is working in the other games too

tame sable
#

@latent mulch I think it's fixed!

#

silent hill 2 stutters a bit but I think that's the game itself
