Model: Legion Slim 5 16APH8

Describe the issue:
Keyboard randomly stops responding for 5 - 10 seconds. During this time, i'm able to change the color of keyboard through the shortcut (Fn + Space) but whatever I type doesn't get recognized, after the freeze, altogether everything I typed gets registered.

What have you tried already?:
Uninstalling the Keyboard driver, restarting the device to let it install again

When did it start producing the issue:
Not exactly sure, but it has been there since I started using the laptop

Did you install new drivers or software?:
Only updates from windows updates.

Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue:
Will attach a video next time it happens

Try reinstalling windows, see if that fixes it.

copy posting from a different post i wrote:

let's start with disabling power saving modes of your wifi & ethernet, these are known to cause big stutters.

  • open Device Manager > Network adapters > find the ethernet device (usually labeled GbE) > double-click it
  • go to the Advanced tab > Power Saving Mode > Disabled
  • back to Device Manager > Network adapters > find the Wi-Fi device > if it is not an Intel Wi-Fi device, double-click it. if it is Intel Wi-Fi, stop here.
  • go to the Advanced tab > Power Saving (maybe called Leisure Power Saving) > Disabled, or Low if disabled isn't an option
#

do not confuse "power saving" with the "Power Management" tab, don't touch that tab or any checkboxes in it
