#Heat sink

Took my laptop in to a repair shop, as has problems with powering on it only has the white power light but won’t boot. The shop called and has told me when they took the heat sink off the laptop it would boot up to log on. The repair shop has looked at the cpu, gpu and motherboard they are all good. They think it could be a problem with the thermal module or thermal pads. Do you guys reckon I need a new heat sink? Is this fixable?

Now that they have opened the heatsink, you need to repaste it with PTM7950 which the shop definitely won't have.

Also regarding not powering on, highly unlikely it was the heatsink, you should've done ec resets and other prerequisites from here before taking to the shop
