Model: Legion 5 Pro (16ARH7H)

Describe the issue:
When I install my 32GB Corsair Vengeance kit, my laptop takes 35 seconds to boot to the Windows login screen. If I use the original RAM my laptop came with, which is 16GB, it takes around 15 seconds.

What have you tried already?:

  • Getting my CMOS battery fixed.
  • Updating BIOS.

When did it start producing the issue:
When I upgraded to 32GB RAM.

Did you install new drivers or software?:
Yes, I tried updating my BIOS, but that unfortunately didn't help.

I've asked 3 people that have 32GB from the factory.

  • JSCooks and Marwan1246 said that their laptop boots normally (around 15 seconds).

  • TheZugo told me his device also boots in 35 seconds (while having 32GB from the factory).

Unfortunately, I can't search people by roles or I would have a more definitive answer.

I did consider buying a Samsung 32GB kit (which is what my laptop came with). But I don't know if this will solve the issue.

Yes it's normal

If it's normal then how come there are people with 32gb ram who don't experience this?

Are only results from same laptop model helpful for you?

I have a different model that came with 16GB and upgrading it myself with Kingston Fury 32GB had no effect on booting time.

Yes I have a 7th gen, same specs except mine came with 32gb and booted up abnormally slow when he asked me and it was because my battery was dead dead. I had to plug it in an took 28 seconds. After a few more minutes of charging and it booted up in about 15 seconds

If mods could help with finding more people with similar machines I could get more answers

You guys think I should try out the samsung ram?

My main concern is that I'll lose money reselling it if it doesn't end up fixing it
