Legion Slim 7i
I'm averaging high download speeds and low ping within speed tests, but all games I run give me high ping.
I've downloaded new drivers, updates, reset my modem, and changed where my laptop is located
This device is new as of one day ago
I updated the recommened Lenovo drivers and Windows updates.

try running ping 8.8.8.8 -t
in cmd
i dont get it
i just installed tcp optimizer
and gonna see if that makes a difference
its off
this is with wifi or LAN?
do you tried another games?
it could be the server you choose in valorant
before the match you can switch it up
i chose my closest server
it honestly might be an issue on valorants end
im not sure though
but i was playing roblox earlier and i couldnt even run that w/o getting disconnected
yeah
well no
bc i've never had this issue
ok wait
tcp may have just clutched
oh my word
if you can, just show the ping 8.8.8.8 -t like this
it help you knew when it spikes
also I don't recommend playing valorant on WIFI it can be quite uncomfortable as you climb high ranks, it will be so competitive
i usually play on my pc
i just got this laptop as a gift bc i travel a lot
but when i play on my pc i use ethernet with 0 issues
yeah laptop is portable pc afterall.
my ping is a stable like 20 but its been spiking a tiny but but not much
i think the tcp thing helped
maybe your wifi have too many users, so the router can't handle it
but on LAN it will be fine
wifi modem have limitation, but it depends
the closer you to the router it will be faster for wifi
on LAN just plug it in, and it will be fine as always
as far as I knew, that laptop is fine
yeah imma keep testing games
try when people in your place sleep
people are asleep rn
but it was just so weird why that was happeneing when like my game consoles use wifi and they never have any problems
consoles mostly doesn't used to play competitive games
well there is call of duty, apex and such tho
Well there isn’t much else to troubleshoot. You try different drivers and if that doesn’t work then if you want you get an intel WiFi card.
You could try an ax201 or 211
…….
Because they just aren’t very good
So either play with more driver versions or get an intel card
Try a buffer bloat test it could give more insight
