#Laptop Crashing Very Frequently
46 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Do you have a higher res of the picture?
I cannot read the "what failed" part
Ah it's WifiCX.sys
Unfortunately, that's the original resolution
so... likely wifi driver
Yeah I managed to read it.
I hadn't noticed that but now that you've mentioned it, this is when ti happens most frequently:
I open the laptop lid and wake it from sleep. Then I try to connect wifi to it, it crashes
One, it should be connecting on its own but doesn't. So i try to go in and click connect but it crashes after that
So...
1st check what wifi card do you have and report it here
2nd please uninstall the wifi driver via device manager, then download the newest driver from support.lenovo.com, type in your Serial number.
Yeah this should be easy
should

You're giving me hope 🙂
I'll get back to you with the info in just a second
Is it the MediaTek one?
Yes, the wireless lan card
The driver should fix it
Otherwise, swapping another card should be cheap.
So I just uninstall it and the restart windows for it to reinstall?
Just that is a hassle
Just do as Device Manager suggest.
Ah wait
But this shouldn't be happening 🥺 This is a brand new machine
If you don't have ethernet cable, download the driver first.
Things happens.
I have an ethernet connected
remember to tick the "delete driver"
yeah just uninstall it
Done, next steps plz
told ya above
You see mediatek?
Maybe install then restart
Got it boss
