Describe the issue:
1. Laptop has been freezing up and crashing at random times. Crashed in Chrome, and during games. Temps are fine and I’m not overclocked or anything. Crashes with hybrid off. Enabled hybrid and still crashes.
Last freeze/crash was playing Hogwarts Legacy on external monitor with external mouse and keyboard. Game is still running, but mouse and keyboard doesn’t work (still lit up, but no keys) and keyboard on laptop doesn’t do anything, but I can change the rgb lighting with Fn + space bar.
Weird thing is that the trackpad works with both mouse buttons.
Have to hard shutdown the system.
What have you tried already?:
1. I updated the bios from Lenovo website, which maybe is the cause, but I don’t know how to revert to the old bios. Nowhere to download the old bios. Installed bios is KWCN32WW 2/18/2023.
2. I did ddu in safe mode twice, not connected to internet. Installed newest game ready nvidia drivers (not geforce experience).
3. Installed Intel Driver Assistant and updated the integrated graphics, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi drivers.
When did it start producing the issue:
1. I’m sure it started happening after bios, newest nvidia driver, and upgrading to Windows 11 Pro.
Did you install new drivers or software?:
1. Updated bios as stated above.
2. Updated to Windows 11 Pro (just changed the key, not a clean install)
3. Newest Nvidia driver.
Can you recommend provide images/videos to show us the issue:
1. No. screen just freezes on what I was doing. Last crash was external keyboard and mouse don’t work in the middle of a game, Keyboard doesn’t work on laptop, but is lit up and can change rgb with Fn + space bar. Trackpad WORKS though, but I can’t exit the game or anything with just the trackpad…
