Model: Legion 7 16ARHA7 - Type 82UH
Describe the issue:

Picked up (2) 27 inch 4k monitors on Black Friday and my old laptop seemed to be in over its head. I believe it was so old it had hdmi 1.0 which couldn’t do 4k or something, but regardless, I bit the bullet and got a,

Lenovo 16” Legion 7 Specs 3.2 GHz AMD Ryzeb 7 6800H AMD Radeon RX 6850M 12 GB GGDR6 VRAM 32 GB RAM 1 TB SSD

I’m a photographer and only use 2 apps, and at the time have only installed 2 things on my laptop. Capture 1 and gimp. I first noticed insanely slow export speeds when exporting from gimp. I edit off of a LaCie 4TB drive which I know has slower speeds than the internal hard drive of the laptop but we’re talking noticeably slower than my about 10 year old laptop. I started editing those files from the internal hard drive and the speed definitely improved. But important to note, this was not a problem on my old setup. I edited off an older probably slower hard drive 24/7 and it was fine.

The weirdest thing, is I get the “(not responding)” message all the time opening folders, or different windows/apps on the laptop. Even opening the file folder sometimes takes like 10 seconds to open and if it’s slow will give me that message. The apps are almost always NOT “not responding” but being slow and eventually open. I feel like I have plenty of ram to do the very few things I do on here. I don’t have 30 tabs open on chrome, run 10 apps at a time. It’s very low level stuff. Normally I have file explorer open to look at my files I might need, 1 google chrome window open and one or both of those apps running.

What am I doing wrong!? Why is this thing so slow out of the box!?

Opened the Lenovo Vantage and it has my GPU at 1.55/12GB and CPU at 2.74GHz. RAM at 8.8/32GB
