Describe the issue: The computer has a completely black screen from boot. It powers on, the lights come on and I hear the fan, but the screen never shows anything.
What have you tried already?:
- Hooking it to an external monitor.
- Power off, power on.
- 60 second hold on the power button
- Holding F2 to go to the BIOS
- Rapidly tapping F2 to go to the BIOS
- Windows key + CTRL + SHIFT +B
- Booting from a USB stick
- I tried some blind options for getting to the BIOS that a user on the Reddit sub suggested.
When did it start producing the issue:
Two days ago.
Did you install new drivers or software?:
Not that I'm aware of, but I think it was setup to auto install updates from MS. I don't think it had any auto downloads from NVIDIA
Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue:
All you would see is the laptop power lights coming on and then nothing. I can provide pics if necessary though.
