Let me put it this way... If such quick 1v1 games are made available in the mobile version, this game has a chance of survival. Currently, the ranking rules are incredibly stupid and will discourage any new player from playing ate the moment, I guarantee it!
Why?
I'll explain...
I keep running into the same opponent who defeats me, so I lose ranking, and he easily gains it after each game 🙂
Furthermore, the same number of ranking points for winning higher rankings is nonsense. Only the number of games played matters. Quality is secondary, provided you're only marginally improving. You want to play hundreds of games. Not everyone will have the time, and I guarantee it will discourage new players.
Solutions:
Introduce a rule in the search lobby:
- For the last 10 games, you can't play more than once against the same opponent
- For the last 100 games, you can't play more than three times against the same opponent
- For the last 1000 games, you can't play more than 10 times against the same opponent
These strict rules will ultimately mean that the number of games you can play will significantly decrease and will be determined by the number of regularly engaged players...
And in addition, no one will farm rating points from you, practically for free.
Regarding the rating point system itself, I would introduce similar calculations as in chess. Ultimately, your maximum possible level, like in chess, would approach 3000, but it's unlikely you'll ever reach it...
Additionally, we add Leagues, for example, from Iron to Diamond,
and we have a fair system. A ranking system that doesn't require playing hundreds or thousands of games a week...
The rankings simply need to be reset weekly, but I would ignore games like those in LOL called replacements. It's pointless, believe me, completely pointless.
Instead, I would establish a rule:
You start a new week in the league you finished in the previous week, but you must play the required number of games to stay there until the next week. Otherwise, you'll be relegated one league the following week.
