This proposal recommends temporarily pausing the Illuvium Community Council (ICC) beginning in Epoch 12 and consolidating its responsibilities under the Illuvium Main Council (IMC). The objective is to align governance structure with current market conditions and participation levels. Crypto markets remain subdued, and Web3 gaming has been particularly impacted, resulting in lower community activity and reduced governance throughput.
Under present conditions, maintaining a separate community council adds operational complexity and cost without proportional benefit. The IMC is fully capable of handling ICC responsibilities during this period without compromising governance quality or decentralization. ICC salaries and operational expenses would be suspended for the duration of the pause.
This is intended as a pragmatic, temporary adjustment, not a permanent removal. The ICC can be reinstated through a future proposal once participation, proposal volume, and overall ecosystem activity justify its return.
