Based on the information I currently have regarding the value proposition of MMO for players, I understand it in the following ways:
- It's a place to hone my illuvials and gain XP.
In my understanding, if only MMO could provide XP for Illusions, then it would indeed be something illuvials players need to play. However, this is clearly not the case at present, because illuvials can gain XP from many other sources.
- It's a place where I can catch the illuvials I want.
This is indeed better than ADR, as I can choose different areas to catch the illuvials I want, better then random.
- It‘s a game offers a bit of RPG fun, we can fight boss and all kinds of strange creatures
It does have some RPG elements and offer a bit of fun, but I don't think it's enough to make me want to play it repeatedly.
- It's a game that i can make some money if i have best luck.I can go in and try my luck and maybe catch a top-tier illuvials (provided its NFT market price is ridiculously high).
If the floor price of our high-quality illuvials NFTs could be ten times higher than it is now, then I think this might be a convincing reason. If the price were a hundred times higher, I believe there would be a large number of bounty hunters, even making a living by capturing illuvials . However, this viewpoint doesn't hold true at the current price.
I believe that the value proposition of MMO for players determines whether they will play, and what type of players will play. As an RPG enthusiast for over a decade and an illuvium investor for five years, I myself currently can't find a compelling reason to play MMO.
I hope we can create a game that players need to play, not one that players only want to play. Currently, I don't have a reason why players need to play MMO.
What can players gain from MMO? This is a question that currently confuses me. Can someone explain this clearly?
