DISCLAIMER ---- I feel that this would be a good priority to go for AFTER MMO has been WELL established. And ONLY when the IP can afford to put a FEW people solely onto this project specifically.

Rangers! Have you ever been frustrated with corner comps? Are you sick of that team that always hides in the corner and wins by defence? Yes its a legitimate strategy.... Yet, it sure would make the game so much more dynamic and interesting if the battle board were to be a hexagon shape. This shape would make corner compositions more difficult to maximize, as there would be a 120-degree angle of attack on them, rather than a 90-degree one.

Additionally, future game modes and other updates in the future of Illuvium's long, long storied history will benefit GREATLY from having the ARENA be a Hexagon shape. For example, Imagine 1 hexagon Arena zone happening, which is connected to 6 other HEXAGON ARENA battlefields!?!

I have IDEAS.... @ebon trellis Have your people call my people! 🙂

This perhaps would be a lot.... But when the time was right, and the funding was there.... I GUARANTEE you, it will be worth it in the long run!

I think there are always pros and cons. I like the chessboard vibe - it's familiar, everyone understands it and it looks aesthetically pleasing.

The idea is interesting, especially with the battlefield, but as for now I don't think the effort or even a discussion around it is worth it.

I believe it is worth planning it. Because of the possibilites of what the Devs could do with it. Also, everything else is a hexagon shape, the game has hexagons on the battleboard, and the TPI is shaped like a hexagon.... It just seems like the one thing out of place. Also, later there can be massive battles in ARENA style which would allow synergies to combine across ajacent hexagon battle boards into neighboring boards. What is familiar is what gets ignored and people get bored of it quickly.... What is unique and new, people are drawn to. I find it odd that the only people who have negative comments are people who I have never seen play the game....
