We need to talk urgently about this matter. We once said that Illuvials being cheap was a good thing, and that price drops help adoption — but why don’t we say the same about the islands? What we’re doing right now is moving away from adoption. No one in the top 100 or below will want to even try reaching the top 50, and if they postpone it because they need to save up, it’ll just get more expensive and harder every day.
And what about the million users we want to attract — when will they come with these kinds of measures? Are we boosting the profits of the top 50 players instead of one million players? You see what I mean?
Here’s my proposal: let’s do it like when we used GPUs and Ethereum for proof of work (democratizing the rewards). I remember solving the hash was partly a matter of luck, and still, all of us could get a piece with something like an RX580, hahaha.
I understand that the sale of land will inevitably end up concentrated in a few hands, and that’s fair — but it’s a real shame that outside of those 50 people, no one else can get anything from the rewards. Change the rewards to an incremental luck system based on points. It’s important that someone who owns just 1 Tier 1 land can earn 10 euros in a month, and someone in the top 1 can earn $100 instead of $200 once a month. (That’s just a rough idea.) If we keep things the way they are now, it’s most likely that instead of attracting people, we’ll drive them away — we’re completely wrong right now.
I love you all, and I’m currently in the top 50 — but I don’t like the direction things are heading right now; it feels like a zero future.
