Over the past year, we've been developing an Illuvium card game called DroneStone.
It draws inspiration from some of the most iconic TCGs and CCGs — like Yu-Gi-Oh!, Hearthstone, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Duel Masters, Shadowverse, and others.
Right now, the game is in Private Alpha, and we’re excited to hand out Alpha Tester Keys to the Illuvium community.
The game will eventually offer utility for a wide range of Illuvium NFTs: Illuvials, Land, Weapons, Drone Skins, and more.
But at the core of it all are the Illuvitars.
They make up most of the cards and are the **centerpiece **of the game. A big part of the motivation behind this project was to give real utility to Illuvium: Beyond.
There’s no wallet integration just yet — but it’s one of the main features we’re actively working on, alongside polishing the VFX, SFX, and overall gameplay feel.
With wallet integration, you’ll be able to unlock all your Illuvitars and other assets as playable cards — no grind required.
You’ll play using your actual Illuvitars — including their expression, finish, background, and accessories — making this the only way to get custom card skins.
Even more exciting, they’ll unlock earning potential — the stronger your collection, the more you can earn in the game.
The mobile version, with full crossplay support, is set to launch later this year — so you can play DroneStone anywhere, anytime, synced across all your devices.
We want to have development be as close as possible to the community so before we move forward, we need your input.
So please, grab an Alpha Tester Key, redeem it on the Epic Games Store, and try out our humble first iteration of the game.
Keep in mind: this is still a Private Alpha, with all the rough edges of an early-stage game.
The main focus so far has been on card design and implementing core mechanics. Areas like animations and sound design haven’t yet received much attention.
