Dear developers,
Considering that you decided not to add the Leviathan mode to Illuvium Premier Liga and only hold separate tournaments for it, I propose to fully separate these two modes.
1️⃣ Hold two separate IPLs. Casual fans will train in their preferred mode.
Leviathan fans will train in their preferred mode.
2️⃣ Why is it irrational to ignore community separation?
Because these are two completely different modes. New players who just heard about the game might think these two modes are identical. But they are not.
When playing Leviathan, our brain forms habits that are useless in Casual.
When playing Casual, we forget those habits.
A few examples:
- In Casual mode, we don’t need to constantly re-check Illuvials by level or rearrange them. But in Leviathan mode, without this habit, we might accidentally use a useless level 1 Illuvial.
- In Leviathan mode, the value system is completely different. I mean drone upgrades, augmentations, the Illuvials themselves, and the builds. Our brain remembers the value system of one mode and then finds it harder to adapt to the other mode.
3️⃣ We listen to different player audiences. Because of this, the final product turns out worse than it could be.
It is important to clearly define the audience for each mode and pursue their interests as well as the economic interests of the project.
💪 The main (not the entire) audience of Casual are esports players with high skill. Most often, Illuvium Gauntlet is their main income. Their job is to extract money from the game with minimal (or no) investments.
💰 The main (not the entire) audience of Leviathan are paying players. Most often they are mature enough. Most often with low/medium (rarely high) skill. They compensate for their lack of skill with their wallet.
