#How an Affiliate Program Could Drive Mass Player Growth for Illuvium

Here’s an idea to attract millions of players, as well as motivate gamers and influencers to create video content:

Before you launch and begin mass-marketing Illuvium Arena, you should create a proper affiliate system for every user who has an Illuvium account — not just a simple “referral code” like the current one.

Each user should get a unique affiliate link with lifetime commission from platform fees, for example 10-50%. Alternatively, you could start with 50% in the first year, then reduce it to 40% in the second year, 30% in the third, and so on.

Take Bybit as an example — if they didn’t have a strong affiliate program, they likely wouldn’t be nearly as popular, and many of us might not have even heard of them.

Once the affiliate system is live, you should send out this information via all mailing lists so that as many people as possible become aware of the opportunity.

What do you think about this idea?

It seems like an interesting idea, anything that drives traffic here should be considered. Having said this I would like for your to expand on a couple of things:

• What platform fees are you refering to? Is it revenue? If so what would stakers think of this , the biggest drive of the ILV is revenue distribution ? Iluvium Zero players also get 5% of fuel sales.

• What would affiliates need to do to earn this "lifetime commission"?

I believe it's unlikely that anything can be arranged on the Immutable side (which takes 2% in fees), so the affiliate or partner program should be based on Illuvium’s own 3% platform fees. For example, affiliates could earn 30% of those fees during the first year, then decreasing over time if needed or stopped after 1 year.

To clarify the value:
2.1% of fees from 1 million players (with referral-driven growth) is far better than 3% from only 100,000 players without the help of partners actively promoting Illuvium.

As for what affiliates would need to do — simply share their unique link to bring in players. Some would create content, others might write blog posts, or invite communities. The commission would reward them for driving real user growth over time.

Regarding stakers:
I believe they wouldn't have an issue with this approach. It’s a trade-off — slightly reducing the platform's fee margin in exchange for massive user acquisition, which ultimately benefits everyone, including stakers, by increasing overall adoption, activity, and long-term value.
