#When the new devs took inspiration from Genshin Impact, I was a bit worried.

With way more exciting and innovative games like Azur Promilia on the horizon — a mix of Pokémon, Palworld, Wuthering Waves, and more — it’s disappointing to see them follow a tired formula.
I really hope the devs are paying attention to the real competition, because Azur Promilia looks seriously promising.

Azur Promilia is a fantasy world RPG with creature companionship. Step into a fantasy world, utterly different from the world you know. The world of various civilizations, magic and incredible fantasy creatures, together with tales echoing in the starry sky. Take a daring leap from the sky into the ocean, to once again encounter and bond with ne...

But there's def some Genshin inspiration here as well

one thing I hope we don't follow from these games is the insane visual clutter they all have. I can already imagine doing a 10-20 man raid/boss fight and the screen being constantly flashing all over.

would be nice to know from these metrics how many of them are bots.

@viscid wraith my friend..just look at the revenue

#

I doubt any bot uses credit cards

I'm not denying that there's revenue and player spending. What I'm saying is regarding those numbers. Bots farm the game and sell accounts.

it s secondary market and sadly my wife was addicted to it...can assure you..bots or not..that game is a money blackhole for the players. Most of them are really hypnotized with the "rolls" and the banners. @supple gull their playerbase don t litterally give a f bout pvp, they re another kind of gamers. I was only a bit shocked we are worried to emulate a game with huge revenue. We should be an IBG ecosystem and that genre fit perfectly our universe.

My comment was bout comparing (I am good wen we talk bout bringing ideas from it tho)

and i mentioned you but was for Jag

Asmongold was talking about this last week in regards to MMOs and PvP but I think it still applies here. You generally do 1 of 2 things with PvP in a non-PvP centric game:

  1. You make PvP mandatory and turn off the majority of your PvE audience in doing that.

  2. You make it optional but for most games that have done this, it's been a voiced waste of development in the end because of either low player turn out or balancing nightmares.

PvP players play PvP games like LoL. Mixing modes of games together usually doesn't work out well most of the time.

don't MMOs usually always have both PVP and PVE?

# viscid wraith don't MMOs usually always have both PVP and PVE?

They do but PvP modes have failed to become popular because most PvE players don't like to PvP. Mainly because it goes against the nature of an MMO in it's origin. MMOs are meant to bring players together on journeys, not split them apart against each other.

PVP is infinite content. PVE needs to be constantly releasing new stuff to keep it exciting. That's the main difference IMO.

While the game features an anime-style aesthetic, its gameplay is on a completely different level from Genshin Impact. As someone who’s played Genshin for over two years, Wuthering Waves for more than a year, and Zenless Zone Zero for a few months, I can confidently say this game has the potential to be the next big hit—not just in terms of gameplay and animation, but also with its unique mix of creature collecting and ‘waifu’ gathering. Honestly, I have serious doubts that Illuvium can keep up with what this game is bringing to the table.
