Feedback for gauntlet

Hello everyone
I would like to share an opinion about gauntlet mode.
I believe that it is too much rng involved.
I think that a bad luck in game can kick you out of the top 4. Very skilled players can somehow mitigate this, or they know how to play around bad luck, but i still find it frustrating when you see your opponents gaining good augments, while you end up with something that breaks your comp.
I would like for the players to have a little more to say regarding the outcome of the game.

I really have a hard time with rng game after game where I could spend 50 points and not get a single illuval that I'm looking for. That is why I suggested bringing back Acendent because that has a lot less luck and more skill

According to Nyl, the team wants some rng craze, but its true that at the moment its a bit out of hand. This is specifically harmful if balance is not "perfect". The game will hopefully get better as they improve balance and fine tune some rng decisions.

Even though there's considerable rng, top players being always the same and having ~2 average placement proves there is a lot of skill involved

Yes, i know, that's why i said good player can play around bad luck.
But still, i was thinking maybe we could get a feeling of control in games.
Maybe bonding with the illuvial (since alot of players want bonding back) could give you augments deriving from that illuvial.

if you can "play around bad luck" then it's not really bad luck is it?

Here it's an example:
You are late game, where anything matters. And you have a comp.
Then the augment comes and it's :
Inferno, vanguard and dust. Nothing that you have.
Meanwhile, you enemy has a polar bear, a penguin, the frost weapon, and gets the frost augment
I would say you cant play around that anymore

then you play for 2nd or try to take advantages in some other ways. I mean thats the whole point of a drafted game

i think you are describing any autobattler, and how people ussually feel about it, which is completely normal. But that doesnt mean a change is needed

the rng bingo is out of control...not my opinion just facts. good players get frustrated too, ask hollow or fox or sl1ckz. game is improving but this "rng craze" that the devs want is not beneficial at all. /my 2 cents

when you add balance (like balancing 4frost), plus rework weapons which is extremely random, plus add carousel which gives a better oportunity to last players which balances the game aswell i think we'll get there

i agree having to choose between 3 composite at the end of the game is weird as fuck though

Great players scouts and go for the comps or individual illuvial that give their team huge power spike. They are moves ahead and know how to manage their gold much efficiently
