First of all, i would like to acknowledge all the teams' effort in making gauntlet the game we've all been waiting for. Since a couple months, things are really moving effectively and it really feels like we are getting there ilv_rocket

After a couple games here's my initial feedback

Illuvial Changes
I like that fights are faster and games went from 40-45 to 30-35m. That being said it feels a bit too fast and we lose out on units potential scalability

Standardized dmg, buffed empaths/bulwarks dmg, removed complexity by removing exploit weakness, all units use all traits and no more special effects from T0s 💯

Augment Changes
Looking forward to see the new system!

I like that effects are explained in the pop up now

I havent seen it myself but @untold grail shared in another thread that there is now lore on the augments. If thats a real thing that is quite negative to me. Adds 0 benefit and makes it more clusterful and confusing

Synergy Overhaul
I like that we went back to synergies affecting all allies

Preferred the 2/3/5/7/9. With the 2/4/6 we have many awkward spots were theres no option to optimally fit your team within the threshold, especially early game

I like the idea of simply double effect for units that have the synergy and the special effect at 9 but it might be too strong because it seems like vertical no brainer all in comps are still very strong, especially air

The chip (4 composites) problem seem to be addressed with the new description ive read so far but need to see more games

System Changes & Terminology Updates
Good changes and much needed simplification of terminology!

Scouting & Live View
Feels good. It enables for more strategy and the coin flips dont feel like coin flips because our decisions are based on something concrete instead of just expected

Multiplayer Server
It definitely feels more responsive when doing any actions and havent have desync bugs or crashed so far

UI
Thank you so much for placing the POV where it makes sense instead of 200 feets in the air 🙏

The previous UI felt better to me. Might just be that i dont like when its to much like straight squares/rectangles but the main thing that botters me is that the bottom UI for the shop is so big that it gets really close to the left and right box UI's and they even overlap when looking at descriptions

I dont like that the shop darkens when our bench is full

I dont like illuvials that face the wrong side

I dont like that the light goes dark to emphasize the drone blast/emote at the end of the round

It might not be a priority but i think its really important to eventually get settings to disable emotes, drone blasts and chat. Might be fun for some people for me this is all very annoying and i image lots of players who play seriously would also prefer to not have any of this

Another thing that would be a great QOL improvement down the road is to be able to save the last POV/angle used. I just said that im thankful that the new default pov makes sense but everyone is different
